Are we checking? This is a place to take a p*ss out of motorsports.

F1 is not the only motorsport in the world, so go ahead and post your shitposts about WEC or MotoGP or IndyCar or ralley or Polish Speedway or whatever. Even Formula E, I guess. It needs some love, too.

By the way, F2 > F1.

Rules? What rules? Stop inventing. Just don't be a douche. Lemmy.world's sporting conduct applies.

Honestly this race wasn't exactly representative of driver skill as much as it was about team strategy and pure luck imo

He didn't crash, more experienced drivers did, so... 🤷

I'll give you that, true

These factors of course have matter, but Lawson was quite competitive, given fact that he didn't have much time to prepare. As a substitute this result is fantastic. He wouldn't end up in this situation if he did drive poorly.

He can definitely write in his diary that overtook Leclerc.

No, Yuki is the perfect match for Max. They both survive all the teammates they're paired with. Yuki already gone through one 8x F1 race winner, one 1x race winner, and an Formula E champion, and he's still there. He'll survive Lawson as well, and then he's after Max.

Local commentator said today that Yuki watches Nando's onboard to learn defense. Lance is speculated to leave F1 for tennis, and indeed with Aston Martin going with Honda who can't take a shit without a Japanese driver, that could be an interesting team.
