I’m getting the air 15” just for everyday stuff, some coding for my personal projects, and some gaming when I’m traveling. The base pro is 150$ more and I won’t use any of those features so idk, I’m not really keen on spending more unless the air is completely useless to play games on (at a decent framerate)

AFAIK, it's mostly the lack of a fan in the MacBook Air that will throttle performance. It should still be decent though.

From what I see online however, Rogue Trader just has(had?) bad performance on macs in general.

Rogue trader has bad performances period. Unfortunately it's a staple of owlcat to release games with terrible performances, but they improve in later patches. Anyhow I checked out a vid (dunno why I didn't before) of BG3 with med + fsr and it runs good enough, so that's good

Performance throttle on the M4 Air is pretty significant. Unless you’re planning for your gaming sessions to be limited at 20 mins, take the Pro. BG3 macOS port is pretty underwhelming. Unless you consider ~30ish fps on the lowest settings playable (until throttling kicks in), just save yourself the bother and use cloud gaming.

I got it yesterday and I played it just fine with no throttle
