nvm figured it out edit: it's webgl being disabled in about:preferences#librewolf - figure it out via hamburger menu > more tools > web developer tools > console, and seeing errors about WebGL pop up.

I wish there was a way to install a non-privacy focused version of librewolf that just disabled Firefox telemetry and AI stuff.
It does require some tinkering but you can do that with Librewolf
