Meh, they're not the type to put themselves before their country. It would certainly put a different light on things if current troops were willing to stand against their future selves.
If it ever did happen, Lil Donnie would order the military to use live rounds, they would deploy a Stingray to stop all reporting and social media use, and then hold press conference where they would claim that armed domestic terrorists attacked the parade, followed by a declaration of martial law and suspension of elections.
