Good morning, fellow sobernauts, IWNDWYT 😁!

We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

One week! Seven days! Got a big cheer from the folks at AA today. If you had told me last week that I would go an entire seven days without a drink, I would have laughed in your face. IWNDWYT!

Two weeks since I totaled my car in my own drive way, two weeks sober. I'm hoping I can look back at it and smile, saying it saved my life. Been going to meetings and taking it very seriously this time around. Not my first attempt, I've admitted I've had a problem and was powerless over the drink for over two decades, but always came back to it and made excuses and rationalized while I was on it. Here's to hoping I can get another two weeks in. Got a plan for meetings Monday through Friday, found a couple good ones. Was pretty discouraged after traveling to two separate ones only to find they were disbanded, but I'm determined to make today a good one ❤️ iwndwyt!
