There isn't really a way to reverse this actively. All you can do is stop adding more salt to it and have it slowly regenerate as you pull the salty water out for use and have untainted water enter the supply.
Messing with water bodies is extremely subversive as the changes occur over decades and centuries, but then also take centuries to reverse. It is like a freight train. It takes a long time to accelerate and moves slowly, but once it moves, stopping it takes a long time too.
Alright, hear me out: nuclear desalination plant. Feed it salt water, feed steam to generators, drink the water after it condenses. For an added bonus, extract everything useful out of the leftover brine instead of just dumping it back into the ocean.
