For civil discussion of US politics. Be excellent to each other.

Rule 1: Posts have the following requirements:
▪️ Post articles about the US only

▪️ Title must match the article headline

▪️ Recent (Past 30 Days)

▪️ No Screenshots/links to other social media sites or link shorteners

Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. One or two small paragraphs are okay.

Rule 3: Articles based on opinion (unless clearly marked and from a serious publication-No Fox News or equal), misinformation or propaganda will be removed.

Rule 4: Keep it civil. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a jerk. It’s not acceptable to say another user is a jerk. Cussing is fine.

Rule 5: Be excellent to each other. Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, ableist, will be removed.

Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.

Rule 7. No conjecture type posts (this could, might, may, etc.). Only factual. If the headline is wrong, clarify within the body.

The order will affect:

  • the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service
  • the United States Agency for Global Media
  • the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in the Smithsonian Institution
  • the Institute of Museum and Library Services
  • the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness
  • the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund
  • the Minority Business Development Agency.

It instructs the head of each agency to submit a report to the Office of Management and Budget “explaining which components or functions of the governmental entity, if any, are statutorily required and to what extent.” In practice, as has happened with other federal agencies in recent weeks, it’s expected to leave these agencies a shell of themselves and fundamentally nonexistent; in the case of the US Interagency Council on Homelessness, it destroys the only federal agency solely focused on addressing the homelessness crisis.

I'm just waiting for the project my company was contracted for to get cut. It's only a matter of time at this point. It has to do with preservation of the ecosystem along the Colorado River which is right up their alley when it comes to cuts. My Republican boss is gonna be pissed when we lose 60% of our revenue for the year.

The amount of harm he's doing is astronomical. I'm in shock that the millionaires don't get that he's not on their side. He will drop them as soon as they're not needed. I know they think they're special, they are not.

They don't care. They've made their money and know that wherever the economy winds up blowing, they can pick up and move to Europe or SE Asia or NZ or wherever, because their large cushion of money will allow them a fairly soft landing.

Not before trump steals their money first. You only have to take a gander at russia to see what the next steps are going to be. Either get on your knees to trump and do exactly what he says or find yourself at Guantanamo. You might fall out of window as an option, but I think trump would probably ruin you in other ways first. If Putin has a say, then poison or window it is.
