#Our Guidelines
1. General guidelines

Treat others how you'd like to be treated, be respectful and consider the person on the other end of the screen. Stay focused on the topic at hand and don't resort to personal, or political attacks.

We're here because we all love Cities: Skylines, make sure the people who have worked hard on creating it (the developers, the publishers, the asset creators, and modders) get their fair credit by not pirating the game, and only linking to approved resellers and the Steam Workshop.

Put your best foot forward and try to share high-quality examples of your work no matter what your skill level is. Your city deserves better than a blurry photo of a screen from across the room.
➧1. All content must be related to Cities Skylines.
- Any content about the game, but not from the game, can only be shared as a link contained within a text post (see Rule 7).
- Non-game content includes (but is not limited to) photos and videos of physical locations or buildings, schematics and renderings of future projects, maps, and drawings of city layouts.
➧2. No spam or reposts. Do not submit more than one of the same post/comment on this community or across multiple communities.
➧3. Be respectful. Harassment, abuse, name calling, and/or threats of any kind is not tolerated here. Any content, whether an image or a comment, that includes any kind of bigoted language or hate speech will be met with a permanent ban.
➧4. Check before posting · Posts about or which ask questions already addressed will be removed.
➧5. No advertisement or self-promotion. Do not use this community to advertise or self-promote. This includes (but is not limited to) websites, articles, blog posts, and brands. We welcome occasional links to your own off-site content like Twitch and YouTube/Invidious.
➧6. No NSFW Or Political Posts · Nudity: Obvious, implied or strategically covered · Content that is “sexually explicit”, gore.
- Although this concepts introduced by the game are inherently political, stay in the Cities: Skylines lane.
➧7. Links · All shared links must be from Paradox/Colossal Order websites/forums, excluding links to Youtube/Invidious videos and trusted news sources (about the games). Latter ones must respect 'Rule 4'.
- Don't link to file sharing sites such as Ufile.io, Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
- Don't link to assets or mods on third-party sites. Downloadable content may only be linked to on the Steam Workshop (for Cities: Skylines) or Paradox Mods (for Cities: Skylines II).
- You're allowed to share links to image hosts.
➧8. Piracy · Discussion is allowed, sharing links is not (view the rule above).
➧9. Memes · Memes are allowed, but please keep it low or it will be considered as spam (Rules 2 & 10).
➧10. Posts must be high-quality ·
- Don't take photos of your screen with a phone if you’re playing on PC - learn how to take a screenshot or video capture and share that instead.
- If you are playing Cities: Skylines or Cities: Skylines Remastered on a previous-generation console and have no other option, please tightly crop your photo so it's focused on the content of the game and not the area around your TV.
- Use descriptive titles instead of short, uncreative, or low-effort ones. Don't just say things like "help needed" or "what do I do?" - describe the problem you're facing.
- Don't swear or use offensive language in titles.
