Hi folks,

I'm trying to upgrade a very dated Google WiFi system. I have a fairly large, 1 story house, that is served by a combination of mesh points and wired points (via. MoCA). Unfortunately, because we have vaulted ceilings and a mostly inaccessible/inhospitable crawl space, I don't have any easy way to wire APs more than I already have. So, I do want a system that supports the MoCa enabled wired APs, but also has good wireless mesh performance.

I had a previous Ubiquiti system that had quite poor mesh performance (this was in the UAP 5 era, I think). Obviously, Wifi has advanced a lot and I'm thinking of dipping my toes back in the water.

Can anyone comment on the performance of Ubiquity HW for wireless mesh performance? I'm thinking of a combo of UDR7+UX7 points, and comparing that to something like an ASUS based system.

Thanks!
