This is a follow up post on my issue.

I have a 2 story home with a decent traditional router connected to broadband which is enough to cover that floor.

I want to extend this wifi to the second floor. After doing a bit of research mesh wifi seems to be the best option.

Can it work if I buy a single node and place it on the second floor with wired backhaul to my router? Or 2 nodes are necessary for this setup?
