This is what I've been saying for the longest. If you rely on the US then you get what you deserve. Build your own shit. People kept mistaking what I was saying as being some arrogant American. No, I was warning you not to rely on anyone but yourselves. Build your own tech companies, defense systems, etc. Even if we elect someone sane in the next election we will still have the MAGA element here so don't trust the US.

I canceled my Amazon prime some time ago (no, I would not like some ads with my membership fee), but kept ordering stuff once in a while, because it's convenient. But I guess it's time to fully drop that behavior and look into some european alternatives.

I spent around 15 minutes yesterday to find an alternative to a product I had found on amazon, just to get a local megashop selling the same china-made thing.. but it's still something.

Did you try aliexpress?

I already used Galaxus here and there (especially for technology products). It seems to be a swiss company originally.

They also have the option to say "I'm fine if my delivery takes a day or two longer", which I like a lot. Not everything needs to be delivered as fast as possible no matter the cost for employees.

Since the world is largely dependent on financial choices, whether you like it or not, the saying ”Vote with your wallet” will ring true as long as we have these types of societies.
