you should move next to a sports stadium, no light pollution there

This is great advice. Since most professional sports are played at night, they have to turn all the lights out to emulate night time conditions. The last baseball game I went to, everyone was required to wear passive infrared goggles; eight players ended up getting concussed and it took 16 innings for someone to make a run, but the views of M13 were really something. 10/10 would do again

Saw a bright point of light just over the horizon 15 minutes after sunset and thought "OH SHIT IT'S MERCURY TIME" and caught a great view of a passenger jet
