Watching a hockey game is like 1 hr of sports... and 2.75 hrs of sports betting ads.

Fucking ridiculous and predatory for those with gambling addictions.

I noped out when my child kept repeating phrases like the worlds favourite sports book.

I didn't even think of the children aspect... even worse!

I, for one, really get frustrated trying to watch my betting program and they keep interrupting it to show people chasing a puck around the ice. I'm glad something is finally being done about all this sport nonsense.

Edit: Think of the children! How are we supposed to teach our children proper betting techniques and knowledge if this madness doesn't stop?

Yes, and tackle alcohol ads next.

I watched Hockey Night in Canada for the first time in almost 12 years a few weeks ago and I was appalled. I counted at least three different betting apps being advertised, and a lot of the analysis was also tied to betting odds. It left a really sour taste in my mouth, completely irrespective of the actual game.

โ€œOntario onlyโ€, says the (very) small print, even though the ad is in an online stream and they know the audience is in BC. ๐Ÿ™„
