If the loop you're posting isn't original content uploaded by the creator, prefix the title with ♻️ or [R] (if you don't feel like typing an emoji) for "reposted". For example, ♻️ Cute dog or [R] Cute dog.

Note that some loopers upload their loops to multiple platforms including Loops, so you might see insta/tiktok logos on videos that aren't marked as reposts.

Where are the video controls in this interface?

Right now there aren't any. The dev said a new web UI is coming soon that'll have them. Until then, I'd recommend trying out Tesseract, it's a nice Lemmy web UI that supports embedding loops as regular video files with the browser controls you'd expect. Otherwise, you can play the video, right click on it, open in new tab, and then get browser-native controls as a regular video file. It's hacky, but it works.
