I'm pretty sure you already know it, but I'll post it here anyways, IO-Interactive (The creators of the Hitman franchise) are working on a new game, which will be a James Bond 007 game

I don't know about this. Part of what makes the Hitman series so great is dressing up like a clown and knocking out your target with a fish. I just don't see the sophisticated James Bond doing the same level of crazy.
Wait, you just sold me on Hitman though, where should I start? Is "World of Assassins Part 1" truly a combination of HM1-3? Looks like its only $9 on steam rn
Just as a heads up, the Hitman trilogy is absurdly complicated to purchase for some unknown reason. I own the first two and I literally cannot work out how to buy the third one.
So tread carefully I guess lol.
Yeah grab that. It should get you started. The full deluxe edition has everything, so if that's not much more, play the $9 and see if you want to upgrade.
I have an absurd number of hours in the Hitman series, and for $9 that's a steal.
A lot of the new Hitman games systems could be transposed into a James Bond game without the disguises and they'd still be compelling. I'm imagining the silent assassin runs where you don't ever change into a disguise that are possible on certain levels.
I think this is planned to be released around the same time as Elder Scrolls 6.
I hope my grandchildren have fun with it.
