I'm sure you'll probably have your comment removed by mods, but realistically you're right.

What other option IS there to save the planet, than removing these CEOs that use the planet to pump out resources and pump in profit? All at the expense of killing the planet.

But it's also not a one step plan either. We also need to do some city planning to restore parks and trees within cities. We need to make cities more walkable. Less reliant on so many cars on the road.

For me, it always boils down to this: if people are greedy and selfish, how do we create and maintain a system of laws that protects us from our own worst impulses? Is it even possible?

ARE people inherently greedy and selfish, or is that just a cynical, false belief that‘s meant to keep us distrustful of one another, and therefore weak?

I don't think all humans are the same. I've known people who won't take help. Starving, broke, facing homelessness. They won't take help.

Then I've known people who view life as a challenge on how to scam the system in as many times as they can while technically not breaking any rules....but still real shady shit.

And then there's people who don't give a shit about other people, or rules, or how they affect others. They'll straight up steal.

And there's everybody at all points in the spectrum in between.

Thank you. I’m hoping for more thoughtful responses like this one.

Millionaire class too. It's pretty safe to say that anyone with a net worth in the double digit millions could live comfortability on their wealth for the rest of their lives. Tax everyone with wealth and benefits over that 100%. They could still go to work and do their jobs for fun and to socialize. We could give them a nice plaque saying "congratulations you won capitalism".

But until we put a hard cap on greed. Stop the race to the top pushing the average person as side to make their personal line go up. All these companies could have been profitable from the start or much earlier on. If they weren't looking to give ridiculous salaries to people who don't need them.
