i actually read the article. Seems entirely noncontroversial and that the company is going about it decently and not screwing over it's players.

My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.

Copyright's explicit purpose is to give the public new works. You can't "unpublish." Once it's out there, it's ours, and you are entitled to money... or not.

This is a bad precedent for games preservation. Just because you or I might not like the game doesn't meant they should not be preserved and remain available for future players.
