Certainly seems it from my device. Are you using Spotify free? Or playing from radio or something? Because I also have buttons available for repeating songs/shuffling and for viewing the play queue. I hate the downward arrow above the album art yet still not being able to drag down to minimize the now playing screen. Bad UI design yet again from Spotify in my opinion.
I have a free account right now. I paid for like ten years until I went self hosted. I really hated the arrow too since the swipe up and down gesture didn't function as expected. Especially since iOS has had it for years.
Sure is new
