Eh, with a reasonably modern computer you can get to a desktop environment and browser done in a day.
Can confirm, just finished (ha if its ever finished) setting up my gentoo system today. Had to be less than 12 hours without making too many mistakes.

Yo, I'd be down to learn how to do that.
For me it was just copy pasting a lot of commands, I got to a graphical interface but the distro has too many places to choose and customize for my liking
