I've always felt that Warren was one of the few politicians who actually cared about making our lives better. This response of hers, however, is completely tone-deaf.

Progressive ballot measures for things like higher min. wage and guaranteed sick leave are (and have always been) hugely popular. Dems must make these policies part of their platform and do a much better job on messaging.

This means they need to stop pushing out progressives. The "I'm not Trump" and "Trump is a threat to democracy" appeals were never going to work. Give people a reason to vote for YOU. SHOW them how you're going to make their lives better.

Calling for an obstructionist policy while Trump holds office is fine, but it does nothing to help you win the next election. It's time to reinvent the Democrat party into one that actually serves the working class and actually "un-rigs" the system against them.

I still remember how she, with no chance of winning herself, fucked over Bernie to give the primary nomination to Biden. I'm good. She's totally on board with corporate democrat fuckery whether or not she claims to be one. Progressives aren't welcome in the modern right wing-lite party.

We need to get money out of politics before the wealthy kill us all.

Step 1. Replace the top Dem leadership that has shown time and time again now that they have no idea what they're doing anymore.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 9 hours ago

They know exactly what their doing... Even more reason to replace them

In summary “continue to play by the rules of a system that is under the full control of fascists, and hope the world can hold out long enough to run another uninspired campaign helmed by an out of touch, centre-right millionaire”

Was hoping for something a little more inspiring…

Nah that’s the only playbook the DNC establishment knows. They’ve tried nothing, and they’re all out of ideas.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

It took this election for me to be convinced of this. They are not dumb. They’re running the same failed playbook, not trying new ideas, and not swinging left because it will make all of them slightly less rich, and that’s the ultimate goal.

We need a true party for the people again.

Yep, same. This election fully shattered any illusion that DNC leadership gives a single flying fuck about what the working class cares about. They deserve to collapse as a political party after shitting the bed so hard they lost to the fascist party led by a guy who literally shits his pants on a regular basis.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 hours ago

That's not entirely fair. Among Democratic Congresspeople, Warren is one of the better ones in terms of pushing for meaningful reforms to help the working class.

Hey cool, it's that a person who caused this mess telling me what to do about it.

Here's what liz should do.

  • Invent a time machine.

  • Actually endorse Bernie instead of help the establishment beat him back.

You don't get to lead the resistance as a collaborator liz.

Avoid capture, find escape route to Europe, stay out of the media, build a resistance group, be taken out by the fsb and fbi.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

find escape route to Europe

I have some bad news, migrants coming to the EU by boat nowadays don't have it good.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 hours ago

Oh I'm talking soley about Liz Warren.

A rich white lady moving to Europe? "She's like family!"

[–] [email protected] 19 points 14 hours ago

For me:

Step 1: Go back to birth country of PRC.

Step 2: Be labeled a traitor and western spy

Step 3: Lake Laogai

(Just kidding, China revoked my citizenship because I obtained US citizenship, so I'd be illegally entering China if I tried)

But seriously tho, I have nowhere to run to. Nowhere that isn't literally worse than the US. No place thats better than the US would accept US refugees because we are still technically a democracy, and the border agents at whatever country you apply for asylum would tell you to go back to the US and move to a Blue state. "Moving out of the country" is what people commonly say but its not a realistic solution.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 hours ago

I didn't read it. Is it abolish the DNC and start over? If not, it's not going to work.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Move to a third world country, live like a king.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

If you're in the US, you're already there - just give it some time for that truth to take its inevitable hold.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 12 hours ago

It's truly crazy how much of the more rural parts of the US are basically a third world country

[–] [email protected] -3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Says one of the neoliberal shitbags drowning the DNC with their latent conservatism. Suuuure. We'll all just shut the fuck up and keep our heads down so you can continue your addiction to insider trading.

Neoliberals are the cancer of the DNC. The change needs to start with widespread primaries featuring the goddamned public. Bartenders, mechanics, grocery clerks... I trust all of them to represent my best interests over a fucking neoliberal millionaire.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

There are valid things to criticize Elizabeth Warren for, but she's not a neoliberal. Either you don't know anything about her, or you don't know what that word means.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Bullshit. She is a multi-millionaire neoliberal dressed as a progressive. I've held my nose and backed her in the past because she was the most progressive person available at that moment, but she is no AOC or Bernie (who she attacked in a primary for no fucking reason).

I am so fucking tired of neoliberal cockroaches insisting their way into the left zeitgeist, poisoning our ability to identify actual progressives. I will still support her when she is the most progressive person to choose, but I will not let her off the fucking hook for being a neoliberal. Our party needs to insist on better.

[–] [email protected] -3 points 6 hours ago

Right, so you don't know what the word means. Got it.
