He lost his wife and family over this too. He chose to pursue this over his family and they left him. Good fucking riddance.

One hilarious detail is that he tried bribing the local council, saying that he would help set up an education initiative if he found the coins. A school dedicated to teaching people how to trade bitcoin...

Useless people...

Oh, and one other thing that comes up is those people who blame the wife for throwing out the drive (if that's even how it happened). The coins were basically worth nothing when the drive was lost, and it was only years later when their value rocketed, that this pillock lost his mind and started his unhinged hunt

I don't know I think that potential gain would trip a lot of people in the wrong direction, it's akin to wasting money on lottery tickets.

Favourite part is
