Edit: added specs for Option 2 below and in replies. Also, thanks for the all the quick responses.

I know this sounds crazy because, if given the choice, the 4090 is technically better. I play at 1440p 165hz now but I plan on getting an OLED 1440p 300hz monitor soon.

So my issue is that I’m between 2 builds. They’re both 7800x3D but 1 option has a 4080 and comes with a better case/360 aio/overall airflow for about $1900: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RwFXXk. A friend reached out and told me they’d sell me their 7800x3D + 4090 for $2K but it comes in an NZXT H510i and fewer fans. I’d have to do some cable management and clean up the case but the benchmarks look good.

Here are the specs for Option 2:

// “MSI - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GAMING TRIO 24G 24GB DDR6X PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card - Black

AMD 7800x3d

ASUS TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WiFi

G.SKILL Flare X5 Series (AMD Expo) DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s CL[hidden information]V Desktop Computer Memory UDIMM - Matte Black (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-FX5)

1TB m2

240mm AIO loop on cpu

Maingear 1000w power supply.“ //

I generally prefer the aesthetics of option 1. Woe is me, please help.
