The mood whiplash from music video just like an internet algorithm serving up whatever; was something else.

my theory crafting

So Akane has wrong information about that body wasn't in fact Aqua's father / murderer. A witch(?) (She totally looks like a witch) has manipulated Rudy to begin searching for her own revenge on the manipulator . Akane gaslights Ruby that Aqua wasn't searching for his revenge the whole time.

The viewers know who is the manipulator. Why does some random girl has star eyes?! Why the Murderer has star eyes? WHAT DO THEY MEAN?!!1111!!!???!?!

Why Aqua lost his eye!?

Ughhhh... That face...
Ruby

Can't wait for the next season. I have enjoyed my time watching growth of Aqua, Akane and Kana on stage.

Edit: MV from the episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7E-tgmFuzw

It is really nice that they went ahead and made the MV and produced a whole song for the show. In the source manga, there were just a couple lyrics here and there, but nothing nearly as fleshed out. Also, I loved that shot of dark-star Ruby when it popped up in the MV. Give her back her bright star and it would be very cute, but with the dark stars, it takes on a very menacing vibe.

If you watch it again you can see that Ruby has light star in certain shots and dark stars in other. Great attention to detail.

I am so happy that we got an instant announcement that a season 3 is in the works. The source manga is nearing its finale, so there is maybe like 2-3 seasons of material left to adapt once that finishes.

For everybody (myself included), that wished there was more Ruby this season, then prepare yourself for season 3. Aqua might think his revenge is over, but it merely shifted to Ruby and the world better watch out. Additionally, we now have some mysterious character feeding information to help stir things up.

Only one thing is certain going forward; Kana will continue to keep losing. Truly the losing-est of losing heroines...

Was unsure where the story will go halfway of the season, but I am satisfied with the darker elements. Probably going to pick up the manga, looks like volume 8 is a good place to continue from - looks like my closest store is going to stock up with the English translation next month.

I Loved the MV they produced.

Great way to end this season. Looking forward to the next one with black-eye Ruby.

manga referenceThey showed a 15-year lie proposal at the end

I have not read manga yet (but clicked 'manga reference'). I wondered what it was when I watched it in the episode. Oshi No Ko really likes to tease some lead in their episode endings.

Yeah, they pulled that bit as well as the post-credits scene with Aqua and Ruby's dad and some person from way later in the manga. So, I don't think either of those are supposed to really make a lot of sense to non-source readers, but more act like a tease or a mystery to keep people hooked.

The whole thing between Aqua, his biological father and crow girl keeps getting a more twisted thread.

I really enjoyed the MV as well. They made a whole album of B Komachi songs for the first season, so it is nice to see that they are continuing to make songs as B Komachi has reached its next form.

Manga spoilerThey have gone crazy with computer screens this season.

What happened in the end? Who was that girl? Was that Aqua's biological father? He looks so similar.
