Goddamn my home state racing to the fucking bottom again. Any construction workers should stop doing work in that state and leave. Go somewhere were you won't die and your skills will be appreciated.

Abbott needs to go along the rest of the GO fucking P.

Me too. I live in Oklahoma now but it isn't much better. Don't know anywhere is.

On one hand, I regret leaving my good-ish job in Texas like 6 years ago to go to school. Still hasn't paid off but seeing as how every time I hear something about Texas it's because state legislature is doing something incredibly shitty, maybe it was for the best.

Ironically, when I was stationed at Fort Cavazos (then Fort Hood) we were not allowed to work a full hour outside without breaks if the temperature was above 90 degrees - and hard work (like teardowns, construction, etc.) mandated more break time than work time in higher temps.

This bill is contrary to best practices, not to mention cruel and hateful. But then, for the GOP, the cruelty is the point.

What the hell is it with Republicans that they just want to make everything shittier and shittier for everyone? It's like spreading misery is their entire raison d'etre.

Most of them are illegal and brown, to him and the rest of the GOP they aren't fully human.
