Even worse is getting inside and waiting for the car's AC to kick in. Makes me empathize with those who faced the Brazen bull.
Maybe it's because I was younger and lither in 2011, but this summer feels so much worse.
We haven't gotten to the fires yet. 2011 was pretty bad. The eastern horizon looked like Mordor and as I recall the lakes were way lower.
The conditions were way different in 2011, there was less rain in the spring, LCRA gave rice farmers their full allotment which drained the lakes, and it was a La Niña year, but this year is El Niño, which means late summer/fall it's more likely to rain and the humidity is higher
Agree, I'm just hoping we get through the next six weeks without massive fires.
Looking unlikely unfortunately. The wildfire smoke from San Marcos was visible all over south and west Austin this afternoon
What did y'all see today? I saw 106.8 on my ambient weather station.
I quit looking after my car thermometer hit 113 in that hot spot st 35 and Riverside.
