Apparently, according to at least one known car wash scare and the user manual, there is risk of damage if you don't set it to car wash mode first. I don't know how this compares to other electric vehicles.

I heard it can still have problems in "car wash mode" but I never really delved into the issue because I'd never buy one of these things lol

Firefox + uBlock origin with the annoyances filter list enabled did the trick for me, I think. I assume reader mode works just fine too, but I'm not a fan.
