I have to say, I like Trudeau and think the Liberals have done a good job governing, passing many laws and policies I support and generally making my life better.

But on the other hand at the very least they have a problem communicating. I have family who drive a PHEV they had subsidized, send two kids to $10 a day daycare at a rural daycare center the feds funded to open, gladly collecting the child benefit while working a job that has seen a boom due to government policy. But because they basically absorb anything they see repeated enough on Facebook as true, they're ready to see Trudeau go for... vague reasons? But their conviction is as strong as their reasons are nebulous.

A roll back to Harper era childcare policies would financially ruin them, but how can I argue against skeleton middle fingers and Fuck Trudeau stickers?

How do you pay $2.3 billion in carbon tax rebates and not have anyone know about it? It's amazing how terrible the communication is.

I wonder what would happen if he announced tomorrow that he had a really good acid trip the other day and came to the conclusion that what the government must do is abandon the F-35 jet fighter deal, stop subsidizing oil companies, stop subsidizing car companies, stop pretending that rapid population growth is good for us, nationalize most of the telecom sector, get serious about fighting back the power of the other oligopolies that run most of the country, double the carbon tax, cut the income tax, eliminate most of the deductions that make it so complex, tax capital gains at the same rate as other income, consult with economic experts willing to design an effective regime for preventing businesses from growing too large, renew efforts for electoral reform, cancel all the bad Internet bills, fund electrified passenger rail transport, and run all government systems with 100% free software.

I'd ask where can we get some more of that acid so we can forcefeed it to other politicians lol. Undermining the sovereignty of someone over their consciousness is not usually something I'm down with, but look at all the benefits you listed XD

If hallucinogens are illegal, the sovereignty of your mind has already been undermined =o

I love that :P

what would happen

I'd probably vote for his party on the chance that some of this would come to pass.

We need a referendum to compel Trudeau to take ALL the hallucinogenic drugs, right now.

"Fucked up Trudeau".

I love it.

I mean he's not winning the election anyway, may as well go for it.

I think this platform is exactly the sort of thing that millennial politicians will be pushing for. So we'll see it in maybe 10-15 years.

This is the kind of politics I like - will he stay, will he go, how will it effect the campaign ...?

Also today: Kenyan protesters dead, parliament on fire as thousands storm compound - Protest against new taxes. don't like that kind.
