The GOP hasn't had a new idea since Reagan's "Just Say No" and tax cuts for the rich.

And, BTW, all his ideas failed.

Isn't the ones mostly doing crimes the ones that should be stopping it, or am I mistaken

Being tough on crime was never about reform or safety. It was about supporting the prison industrial complex.

Yes, and it was about finding excuses to suppress minorities when overt segregation was no longer allowed.
