As soon as I show people the deck, they are just floored. I never want to commit to gaming at my battle station because of work and stuff, but I am so thankful I can bring gaming to my couch again!

SF6 runs pretty poorly on the Steam Deck so I don't know why they would want to highlight that, lol. Pretty much had to turn everything to full ugly mode.

That's a bummer, I was just going to ask if it was even worth installing on the Steam Deck. Guess I'll stick with the open world single player games and Slay The Spire.

It's playable but it struggles to maintain 60fps on the lowest settings, I even modded out the environments with a potato mod. So if you don't need things to be pretty it still is functional, but you can feel the frames dip fairly frequently.

That's disappointing. From Capcon's even earlier track record such as DMC5, RE 2/3/4/8 and MHR, I expected great builtin compatibility of their RE engine with Linux and Steam Deck. But their latest titles DD2 and SF6 proved otherwise, so I guess it's just optimization problem for specific game cases

Does this mean the Deck is struggling in Japan? I read it was doing well, but I couldn't find accurate numbers.

For console, Switch is the market leader in Japan

I took that for granted, It's Nintendo and they had several years of advantage.

Fwiw the switch is also significantly more portable. I love my deck but I only use it at home in bed or on the couch. I wouldn't really try using it in public.

Im the opposite. Deck goes with me everywhere, switch stays at home for the most part.
