I live in a 800+ unit, corporate owned and managed apartment complex and would like to organize the renters. What kind of platform would you purpose? As most folks aren't as nerdy, I suppose discord would work too well, I was thinking a simple bulletin board solution on the web for example, the post a poster with QR code around the property... What are your thoughts?

Listen to Parts 1 and 2 of this podcast:

That should at least give you some starting point for organizing and I believe there’s a larger tenant’s union organization that might be able to help you.

Thanks! I'll check it out

Just a thought: depending on your community, may also want to ensure it's available in 2 or more languages to maximize engagement.

I used to live in many apartment complexes (small to large). The range and diversity of residences largely varied. Used to live in a community with a large hispanic population and Spanish as the primary language. In another one, I believe it was Vietnamese. But for the most part English was understood, but not the primary.

Definitely Spanish also!

I really like Slack but I doubt the majority of renters in this community know it or would be able to install it

It's really low entry, they make it easy.

I set up a space and generated a QR code. That really was easy! Now I'll go canvassing😁👋

That would be evil...

I think a web bulletin board is a great idea with maybe a form that other renters can use to submit thoughts or things they want addressed

What're decent solutions for an easily managed bulletin board that offers browser frontend for computer, cellphone and tablet?
