It's great, don't stress too much. As a kids we were out all the time starting when we we're 6-7. When my 10 years old started going outside with friends. It was a big relief for me.

Its normal to worry, but its very normal for your son to experience some freedom.
Yeah, he's old enough that he can be trusted out on his own. I know he's fine. But it's hard not to worry, just a bit.
I'm sending my 10yo on a flight to their grandparents by themself this summer. Gaaaah
Airlines are really good with unaccompanied minors. Or they were when I was a kid. Good luck!
