And, with that, the battle with the demons has come to an end...for now. Fortunately Usato was able to get to his friends in time to save the heroes. Turns out that the wrong way to use healing magic is the right way to fight the Black Knight. One healing punch later and the battle has mostly come to an end with the Black Knight having been captured. Next week's finale should slow things down once again as we sort through the aftermath of the battle. We still need to figure out what to do with the Black Knight that was captured (now sans armor).
One of the things I like about this arc is how Usato sort of breaks down after the battle. I can't even imagine how brutal and shocking a battlefield in a fantastical world like this would be. For a teenager from the peaceful nation of modern day Japan, it would certainly be traumatic in a profound way. I like how this series doesn't just slide right by it, ignoring the effect it would have. Instead, it at least gives it a little bit of attention.
Finally, it was nice to see Rose smile when Usato comes back alive:
