I dont think there are any β€œmain” instances. That’s kind of the point.

I used "main" in terms of popularity.

then at the moment lemmy.world is the largest one. Its run by mastodon.world admins and is still relatively oerformant and reliable given its size. Lemmy is growing rapidly and that could change very suddenly any day now.
