It’s the first video with sound on lemmy for me 🤯

We’ve reached the next stage of Lemmy

I hope he goes by the name "Sticky Fingers."

For real though, that was awesome!

His name is Mezerg. Check out his other stuff on Youtube. Go see him live if you have a chance. Absolutely amazing musician.

Not all of them are hooked up 🤔

He's only touching the ones that are if you watch. I would assume the others are there to fill in keys they aren't using to make it easier to play.

Probably a limited number of notes actually required and the rest are just inserted for aesthetic reasons. It's possible they're all just props (although if they're acidic, changes in electrical potential upon touch is a reasonable thing).

It’s fake - video timing is off and the synth generates notes that aren’t being played.

Maybe, but it also really wouldn't be hard to make this. The fruit would just work as touch buttons though, connected to a sync. But that's how any modern electronic piano works

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Sure but not for the groove he’s supposedly playing.

Have a look at the original. Timing seems right on that. Which notes aren´t played?

He doesn't use all of them. It's a fruity piano keyboard. Seems to be a legit instrument, not a fake.
