The con elite really, really hate voters and the notion of voting, period. All the pretense is just for show. They hate having to get the hoi polloi to actually vote against their own economic interest.

I don’t think this will help republicans actually. Right now in some states, as long as the mail in ballot is postmarked by Election Day the ballot is counted. If they change this rule, rural areas and also military may see their ballots not counted if they show up late in the mail.
