Last summer, one chilled in my trees for a few days. Tons of potential prey in my yard. My picture looks like it was taken by a rotten potato.

Feel free to share your photos and other birding-related content here. If a photo you post isn't yours, please credit the original creator! Additionally, it would be appreciated if the location of the sighting and a date were given when a photo or question is posted. You do not have to give the precise location, something like "Northern Idaho, June 2023" or even "North-Western US, June 2023" suffices.
That sounds awesome. I just use my iPhone and hold my monocular up to it.
I got to see crows mobbing a peregrine falcon today in my yard so that was pretty exciting.

I always wondered how well all these external phones lenses worked, I guess I know the answer now. That's pretty neat.
Are there really so few bald eagles around Michigan? We have loads and loads of them in NW Ohio. I can't go on a hike without seeing at least one, and i usually see one while driving to Lake Erie.
No there’s definitely a good amount. I’ve just not seen anything but juvenile ones that I could identify. I’ve only been in to birding since the summer really so my sample size is still pretty small.
