I'm traveling and need to work online from an Airbnb. Usually my work requires 50mbps internet speed but the owner says he only has a DSL connection with about 15mbps.. I'm wondering if that would increase if I connected my laptop directly to the router via Ethernet cable? I'm hoping to edge it up towards 30-40 mbps The owner says the cable won't make a difference but I was always told that it increases the speed considerably Anyone have experience with DSL connections?
