Hi,

I have 4 ceiling speakers that came with the house. Crawling in the attic is not an option as it's very tight/cramped.

How can I tell the speaker wires polarity?

Are all of the options described safe for the speakers?

As for the terminal color on the receiver, is red positive and black negative?
