I'm down to the last copy of my data, and I have to copy it to a backup. I'm concerned something might happen to this one copy I have, cuz the last couple times I tried to duplicate it, either the source or the target got mangled. In one case, the dual-bay drive dock copied Target to Source. In the other, the copy worked, but the Source drive no longer works a day later.

I'm going to buy an external enclosure or two to ensure that nothing goes wrong this time -- so I'll have both Source and Target intact when done. I'm looking at Sabrent external enclosures -- probly two of them. Or possibly Startech, which is sold by B&H, which I take as an indication it's a reputable brand.

I have a 2015 iMac running macOS Monterey, and a couple cheap dual-bay drive docks that I'll probably never use again. I've just bought three 14TB drives from GoHardDrive -- with 5 year warranty. They are all pulls, WD Enterprise drives.

Any thoughts from this community? This is a great sub, BTW.
