Currently have 2 Fluance Elite Bipole speakers that have been in my system for a while. I’ve upgraded the rest of my 5.1 system over the last few years (Marantz Cinema 50 receiver, Bowers Wilkins M1 LCRs, SVS SB-2000 pro sub) and these are finally due. I like the way bipole sounds due to the main listening position being about a foot off the back wall in an open concept room. I’m down to a few options with some sales going on but I’m not sure where to go.
Final choices are:
Klipsch RP 502s - $330 on sale
Monitor Bronze Bipole - $675
Monitor Silver Bipole - $800
Used Bowers Wilkins DS6 - $300
SVS Ultra Surround - $800 for the pair since they’re being discontinued
Anyone have any experience or thoughts? I’ve been torn between the SVS and Klipsch (just because of the discount and price) but I could go either way. I may also purchase a slim center channel to replace the M1 but undecided there - not sure if that would impact what I should get for the rears.
