I have dual PSA TV2112 subs and a Denon 3700H receiver. FYI I have not yet performed any calibration. The subs are great and have been extremely pleased with them but am curious:

With sub trim at -12 db for both subs I am only able to adjust gain to approximately 7-8 o'clock before the subs begin to sound poorly. I am just curious to know if this is unusual? The subs sound great on most material at approximately 7 o'clock. There is just a very small window from minimum gain to unpleasant and I thought that this wouldn't be the case with the trim at -12 db.

I currently have the subs crossed over at 80 Hz in the receiver and have the crossovers on subs at max. I have the room control setting on subs at minimum.
