Looking to set up a system, mostly for streaming and normal data backup, but also planning on using it for data for a home business eventually. I was looking at stuff on FB marketplace and I found a used Drobo 5D with 16TB of HHD storage for $200 and a brand new Synology DS1019+ with 20TB ($600).

I don't know the market well enough to tell which is a better deal or whether I actually need all the features of the DS1019+. I was leaning toward the Drobo as I'd prefer to start small, but the DS1019+ seems like a killer deal so I thought I'd see if anyone had any input.

Thanks in advance!
