CONTEXT
(tldr I like that OneDrive auto backs up my camera roll and integrates with windows)
I currently use OneDrive to backup my files, and I love it. I love the fact that it auto-uploads my iPhone camera roll into monthly folders, and I love the seamless syncing between devices. I can make and start editing a file on my phone and immediately continue editing the same document on my laptop, or upload a photo on my laptop and download it to my phone. I’ve also set it up to reflect my documents, pictures, videos etc folders in OneDrive, so I can access them from anywhere and if my laptop dies my files are safe.
Buuut I get that OneDrive isn’t really a backup. And because it syncs changes if I fuck up something on my laptop it’s gone from everywhere.
I also only get 1TB of storage.
My actual question:
What I want is a NAS device that integrates OneDrive, so it can backup the contents of my OneDrive.
Ideally I’d like to just use the NAS effectively as the OneDrive cloud, so I don’t have a 1 TB limit, but I’m not sure if that’s possible?
Otherwise I could just use OneDrive for files, and have my camera roll backup directly to the NAS, but is there a way to do this automatically?
