I have an iphone and I had google photos years ago when it was free for more data. Now I think my photos are all over the place, split between the two with lots of duplicates I'm sure. I have about 20,000+ photos and I'm looking to put them all into once place and absolutely struggling.

I was going to go to icloud for the following reasons

  • Google photos doesn't delete duplicates and it's killing me
  • I have a mac, iPhone etc and don't see myself changing
  • I can sync all my things, notes, calendar etc

I've tried to do the Takeout export to download all my photos and reupload them as tedious and painful as it is, but all files are .JPG.Json.... what is the point of that? How do I just get my actual photos in jpg and have the ability to upload them?

Literally so desperate for help!!!!
