Willful action? Poorly rushed training? Atypically tall electrical wires? Or all of the above?
High voltage Powerline are natural enemies of the low flying helicopter. The power lines will patiently lay in wait and have excellent camouflage in their surroundings.
But in all seriousness, these kind of lines cause accidents more often even with trained crews.
I hope the MI8 is totalled.
In unrelated news, Russia just found a new source of helicopter parts, circumventing Western embargo.
The pilot did well to put the aircraft down with that level of damage.
