So…ordered 2x 16tb drives imported from serverpartdeals to the UK. In my stupidity I have ordered SAS drives without realising.

I run Unraid and have a SAS HBA card with the 1-4 SATA cables. Reading up on SAS drives, even with a little plastic adaptor, they wont show up on a SATA controller but these would be running through an SAS HBA.

Can I have it work with PCIE port -> SAS HBA -> 1-4 SAS to SATA cable -> Amazon SATA to SAS adaptor -> SAS drive? Obviously while some other slots of the cable connect to SATA drives.

Feel like an idiot for ordering in haste but hoping I haven’t wasted a bunch of money.

Thanks in advance.
