So for context. I do have my degree, and I've been working an office job for the last 7 years. I have really gotten tired and drained of office work. Mentally, It's just taking a toll on me and I think I need something where I'm able to learn more, and something a little bit different throughout the day. Not to mention I know trades are paying very well right now. I'm looking in it being electrician cuz between that and plumbing it seems like two of the easier ones to pick up and can be pretty rewarding.
The advice I would need on where exactly to get started. Should I start with some sort of certain schooling? Or are there companies out there that hire people that are green as journeymen? I reside in New Mexico. Lastly, for those of you that started his journeyman, what is the pay rate for something that start at.
