A scout from Vinnytsia who lost a leg in the war showed how he prepares for the marathon in Tokyo

Roman has already run three major marathons on a prosthetic right leg - London Marathon 2023, New York City Marathon 2023 and Marine Corps Marathon 2023 in Washington (Marine Corps Marathon).

It is known that in 2016, Roman Kashpur, a native of Khmilnyk, Vinnytsia region, volunteered to defend the east of Ukraine from the Russian invaders. As a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion in Donbas, a man lost parts of his leg.

But he has not lost his fighting spirit, continues to help wounded soldiers and motivates others by his example.

A real-life cyborg plans to run a 42km marathon in Tokyo in support of prosthetics and rehabilitation for wounded soldiers with severe injuries and amputations.
