Hello, I'm in the process of making this small site that will quickly tell you which kernels to download. Unfortunately life is getting in the way but I'd figure I'd show off what I have, in case it's useful to anyone else as it covers some of the current easily-obtainable clones.

I'm open to suggestions on more carts to add, or contributions in the forms of pictures or software. My goal is to make this a sort of visual guide, where users match their flashcarts to the pics on the site to find the kernel they need. I'm also looking for a way to store and add pictures without screwing up the site. I was thinking of hosting super-compressed 256x256 images of front+back of all the flashcarts, but idk I have no experience in web design. Let me know what you think.

Funnily enough, I've been working on something similar lol

For the ace3ds+ clones, they cannot use the latest wood. They must use this kernel instead: https://flashcard-archive.ds-homebrew.com/Ace3DS+_R4iLS/Ace3DS+_R4iLS_Wood_R4_1.62.7z - It's based on wood 1.25, not wood 1.62 as the name might suggest

The timebomb r4isdhc.com/r4i-sdhc.com kernels expire on September 3rd 2024. It's also important that the r4isdhc.com section is labelled as 2014+ carts, 2013 carts can brick when used with YSMenu.

I dig your site’s layout, reminds me the hacks.guide sites. Very straightforward and to the point.

Which names do the Ace3DS+ clones go by? I think they were the 208-in-1 and 528(?)-in-1 carts, correct? Do they go by any other names?

So the R4 Gold carts that can brick if you try to use YSMenu on the 2013 or older variants? But both the Gold and Silver (.com.cn) expire on 9/3/2024?

You can see a list of them on the flashcard-archive github: https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/flashcard-archive - Though most common ones that you will see floating about right now will be r4isdhc.com.cn, r4isdhc.hk 2020+, X in 1 Carts (unlabelled red carts too, though that's somewhat vague as there are unlabelled timebomb carts too), Ace3ds+ and Ace3ds X carts.

So the R4 Gold carts that can brick if you try to use YSMenu on the 2013 or older variants?

Yeah older r4isdhc.com carts (2013/no year number dual cores/"NEW" carts) like to brick when used with YSMenu. Instead, it's best to mention that 2014+ r4isdhc.com carts will use YSMenu.

But both the Gold and Silver (.com.cn) expire on 9/3/2024?

r4isdhc.com.cn carts are ace3ds+ clones, they don't have a timebomb and can't use YSMenu.

r4isdhc.com 2014+ and r4i-sdhc.com carts have a timebomb in their stock kernel which expires on 9/3/2024, though we now have a non-timebomb version - there are some issues with the stock kernel as mentioned in this post. Ideally, YSMenu is more stable, but the non-timebomb kernel can be used if people want to use RTS.
