My daughter (second kid) is also two months old.

Is the white noise for your sleep or for his? ๐Ÿ™ƒ

I read about white noise for sleeping (especially in an American context) all the time but never tried it. Do you use it for falling asleep or for staying asleep?

Falling asleep! Especially when it seems like he's overtired or overstimulated, it can almost be like a "magic switch" sometimes. ๐Ÿ˜

We leave it on for a while after he's fallen asleep too, though I'm not sure how much that helps.

Hmm I will try this. The little one is very agitated in the evening and it takes a lot of carrying her and walking around. Maybe this makes it a little bit easier. ๐Ÿ‘

Yeah worth a go! My only caution would be volume; it's easy to not realize how loud white noise actually is until you turn it off.

Seconding the white noise suggestion. I have an almost 2 month old daughter and it really made the difference when setting her down.

She used to fuss a bit when going from asleep being held to laying down in her basinet, and would work herself back up to crying, but she does a lot less with the white noise.
